In this exit of prospects for January, we continue our tradition to look at research and the technology which is likely to have an impact in years to come. The covered matters include the shift incipient in industry from software from the products with the services; the dream to release itself from the straightjackets of the programming and being able to move intuitively "play-in" scenarios with the current code; and future architectures of nanoscale.
